Stub-tailed skipper

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside and a lighter shade of brown on the underside, with white fringe. The forewings have four central transparent spots, one white spot below the central spots (just above the dorsum), two subapical transparent spots, and one postdiscal transparent spot near the subapical spots. The costa is yellowish on the underside of the forewings. The hindwings have two central transparent spots. The underside of the hindwings has a central vertical white band and a short white line near the tornus. The head, thorax and upper part of the abdomen are iridescent green on the upperside. The body and wings bases are iridescent blue on the upperside; the body is yellowish on the underside.
