Orange-headed Metron

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with light brown fringe. The forewings have two central yellow spots and one yellow spot below the central spots (just above the dorsum). Females have four additional yellow subapical spots. There is a yellow patch at the margin near the apex of the hindwings on the upperside. On the underside, the hindwings have a broad central oblique yellow band, starting from the apex and ending at the dorsum (appears faintly on the upperside). The body is dark brown on the upperside and orange on the underside.
