Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown with a central oblique band consisting of four white spots, a subapical band consisting of five smaller white spots and three even smaller white spots between the two bands. The edge of the wings are serrated with white fringe. The underside of the forewings have white basal and discal bands at the costa, and white dorsum. The underside of the hindwings have two broad dark brown bands. The body and base of the wings on the upperside are iridescent blue. 

Variation: There is variation in the amount of iridescent blue on the upperside of the body and wing bases.
