The dorsum on the underside of the forewings is also white and the costal margin on the underside of the forewings is yellow. The hindwings have a white oblique central band, which spreads to the costal margin on the underside. The costa and dorsum on the underside of the hindwings may also appear yellow in some specimens.
Variation: The width of the white oblique central band on the hindwings may vary across specimens. Also, there is variation in the amount of yellow appearing on the underside of the costal margins of the fore- and hindwings, as well as on the dorsum of the hindwings.
