Double-dotted skipper

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown, with light brown to white fringe. The forewings have two central transparent spots, one small transparent spot below these, and two or three transparent subapical spots. The transparent spot below the central spots appears as a band on the underside. The hindwings have two postdiscal spots on the upperside and three on the underside. 

Variation: There is variation in the number of subapical spots on the forewings and the number of spots on the hindwings.
