Cynea skipper

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside and a slightly lighter shade of brown on the underside, with whitish-brown fringe. There are two central transparent spots, a spot below these, and one or two smaller subapical transparent spots on the forewings. The dorsum on the underside of the forewings is light brown. The underside of the hindwings has two or three small spots in the postdiscal region.

Variation: There is variation in the number of subapical spots on the forewings and the number of postdiscal spots on the underside of the hindwings.
