Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with dark brown fringe. The upperside of the wings have curvy iridescent greenish or bluish-purple bands that appear as dark brown bands on the underside. 

Variation: There is variation in the colour of the bands on the upperside of the wings - some specimens have bluish-purple bands while others have greenish bands.
