Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside, with two central and two subapical small yellowish spots on the forewings. The underside of the forewings has a purplish pattern at the apical and subapical margins. A similar pattern is present along the apical and termenal margins on the underside of the hindwings. The underside of the hindwings also has an "eyespot", which is made up of a half-formed dark brown circle surrounding an orange patch with a black spot (that has a bit of white at the base) and five smaller white spots (outlined with dark brown).
