Common spurwing

Wing span:

Identification: The wings are brown on the upperside and light brown on the underside, with dark brown fringe and brown bands with dark brown outlines. The forewings may have central transparent spots and four subapical transparent spots. 

Variation: There is variation in the presence and number of central transparent spots on the forewings with specimens having either zero, two, four, five or six. Some specimens also may not have the subapical spots.
