Stoll's Aguna
Wing span:
Identification: Dark brown on the upperside, with a bright shade of green from mid to base of the wings and a paler shade of the same colour on the underside. The forewings have a central oblique band consisting of three transparent spots and one transparent spot adjacent to the band. The underside of the hindwings has an oblique central white band.
Variation: The oblique central white band on the underside of the hindwings may vary considerably in width from one specimen to the next, as well as the length of the tail - it is vestigial in some cases and more defined in others. Also, the amount of green can vary on both the upperside and the underside of the wings (Godman et al., 1887–1901).
