Wing span:

Identification: The wings are dark brown with a central reddish-orange band that tapers from the costa to the dorsum on the forewings and is the same width throughout the length of the hindwings. The central band is also much broader on the forewings than on the hindwings. The wings appear checkered with dark brown to black markings (pattern is more evident on the underside).
