Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a central iridescent greenish-blue band running from below the costa to the dorsum on the forewings and to above the dorsum on the hindwings. The hindwings in both males and females have a light brown patch at the costa, in line with the central band. The underside of the wings is whitish-brown from mid to base and dark brown for the rest of the wings, with black markings in the whitish-brown regions. The dark brown region of the forewings has a wavy black line near the submargin. The hindwings have two black ocelli, each with a tiny white pupil and yellow outline. One ocellus is located near the apex and the other is at the tornus, and both appear faintly on the upperside.
