Wing span:
Identification: The wings are dark brown on the upperside with a whitish-blue central band running from costa to dorsum. The band is broken in two on the forewings. The hindwings have a red tornal spot. The underside of the wings is dark brown with the same whitish-blue markings, and the inner area of the band is white all the way to the base. There are red lines surrounding the whitish-blue markings and white submarginal spots. There are black spots on the outer side of the red line on the hindwings, in the postdiscal region.
